What is God, Religion, and Life?
What is God?
We can not fully understand the conceipt of what God is. We can't even come close. This does not stop us from trying! Nor should it. Over the ages man has used himself to help him describe and identity God. We refer to God as "He, Him, Son, Father, etc". Of course the truth is God is beyond sex, neither male or female, just beyond. God created the sexes for us. Attributing human charactoristics to God is also pointless not to mention by doing so we place great limitiations to God. God is simply beyond our human capacity to understand exactly what God is.
There is nothing wrong with applying human charactoristics to God if it helps you to deal with God. As long as you understand these attempts fall short of what God really is. How can a very finite being such as ourselves possibly be able to comprehend a infinite being. Indeed, the very word "being" probably doesn't come close either! To get a glimpse of the difficulty we are faced with, consider the fact that God has no begining or end. God always was and will be God. We are faced with another creational aspect called time. Time is nothing but a creation from God. It is pointless to try to attribute time to God, since God is beyond time. Time is merely a creation for us. But all we have available to us are human attributes and creation all around us, and this is what we use to help us understand and define God. This is why even our best efforts can not possibly come close to the True essence of what God really is!
Now this revelation about God is hardly new. As feeble as man is compared to God, man is not always a total idiot. Many wise open minds have declared these truths about God but have usually been met with sharp critism and even killed because this information about God seems at odds with traditonal views and creeds, which by the way were also made my man.
